Instructions to making your own Transfer Case Parking Brake

The first step is to measure your yoke for the correct rotor. The yoke must be a fixed style and not a slip yoke. (A slip yoke moves forward and backwards and the rotor would also move) The measurements on the rotors are the spacing of the the holes. Measure your yoke center to center (measuring left side of left hole to left side of right hole is easier and is the same as center to center) You would measure holes left to right and up and down to get the two measurements. If you have u-bolts if would be between the 2 holes where a u-bolt goes through and the two holes between the two u-bolts (not cross ways through the center.) Once the rotor is mounted, hold the caliper with mounting bracket up to the rotor. Rotate around until you find a good place to make an extension from the caliper mounting bracket to bolts on your transfer case. Also keep in mind to place the caliper in a good position to connect the cable. The lever in the caliper is reversible in case you want to run the cable the opposite way.
