Installation Instructions

  1. Remove the axle and hub from the rear end housing in the usual manner. Remove the studs from the hub. Remove the backing plates.
  2. Install the rotors on the backside of the hub using the original studs.
  3. Bolt the brackets loosely to the housing. Bracket mounts on the inside of the flange (differential side). Depending on which way you flip the bracket, the caliper will be slightly higher or lower. Next install the spacer & bracket extension & check the whole alignment if the holes don’t line up with the brake bracket reverse the bracket extension. Install two 1/2 - 20 x 2 bolts through the spacer & bracket extension & 1/2 - 20 – x 1-1/2 bolts, lock washers & nuts to connect the bracket and the extension. Tighten all 6 bolts.
  4. Reinstall the hub and rotor assembly and check for runout in the rotor .005 or less is good. Install the calipers just like the front is installed.
  5. The calipers move every time the brakes are applied & as the pads wear, we recommend using a flexible brake hose. This also makes it easier to change pads. Grind off any projections on the calipers that might hit the bracket.

Pinch off the rubber line between the frame and axle. This will keep the fluid in the lines and make it easier when you bleed the system. see troubleshooting sheet
